"that's why her hair is so big, it's full of secrets"

Just like Regina George, I have a few of my own hair secrets.
First things first, STOP WASHING YOURR HAIRRR. I'm not kidding. You may think its gross (don't be scared! keep reading), but I wash my hair on average once or twice a week.
I can’t even explain how much my hair as grown and changed since I stopped washing my hair as much. Most shampoos contain ingredients that strip your hair of its natural oils, often leaving your hair coarse and your scalp dry. So it’s important that when you do wash your hair, you use a sulfate/paraben-free shampoo and conditioner. I often lean toward more natural shampoos like Nature’s Gate (Sally Beauty Supply). They are cruelty free, which is a plus (and a must!).
Deep conditioning masks are also a must. Its beyond helpful to do these every few weeks to keep your hair soft and hydrated. You can buy one from Target, or you can always make them yourself. I love a good coconut oil, honey, and egg yolk hair mask. Put it on your hair for about 10 min with a warm towel and you’ll be golden.
Dry shampoo: a lazy girl's best friend. I could probably write a book on how much I love dry shampoo and that still wouldn’t be enough to tell you how much I love it. I am notorious for sleeping in and running late. Dry shampoo is my savior. My fav is the "Peace Rose Nourish & Silken Dry Shampoo" from SheaMoisture. It is bomb and smells super yummy.
Heat=Death. Stop using so much heat. I haven't touched a blow dryer in about a year. If you need to find ideas of what to do with your hair instead of the usual straightening/curling, I gotchu! Here are a few of my favorite no heat styles.
PS. The last pic is my favorite go-to/dirty hair updo. Part your hair into three sections from top to bottom, and make each section into a bun! So easy! Pull some strands out to make it a messier look.
PSS. The key to a successful dirty hair-do is dry shampoo. It adds volume, gives it texture, and of course hides any oily hair.
